some people, myself included, are having a difficulty watching mpegs at the archive. when you click on an mpeg it downloads into ram but doesnt open WMP just gives you a dead page with a red "X". we are aware of this problem and are looking for a reason and a fix. it appears to be a windowscentric problem...in particular IE 6 run on XP. if anybody else is having this problem e-mail me adam@inreallife.net. let me know what browser your using and which OS your running. there are two workarounds in the meantime if you are having problems. 1) right click mpeg and click save as. download and watch it from your hard drive. 2) in WMP under file click open url. type in the exact url of the mpeg you want to watch. it will play just like it should using this method...you wont have to DL the whole clip to preview it. we are working on trying to figure out what the exact problem is. but it looks likely that its a IE 6 problem that will come and go without us ever knowing what was wrong. these things happen with IE from time to time. if you are having this problem let me know. |
